After dating Paige for a few months now, you had grown accustomed to going out after wins and celebrating with her and the team. Even though going out and getting semi-dressed up was not your thing, you would do it for her every time she asked. 

Tonight was no different, your jacket was discarded due to the heat of the packed bar, the slightly revealing shirt you had picked out earlier in the day on display, and jeans hugging your thighs in just the right way that made everyone’s heads turn towards you.

You sat next to Paige, her arm wrapped loosely around your waist as she twisted her glass in her other hand, talking to KK and Azzie. The situation was familiar, something you had done millions of times, jokes you had heard before, but for whatever reason, tonight felt off. 

Maybe it was the test you took today, a new weight off your shoulders you hadn’t felt in so long, or maybe it was the fact that you knew your room was in a messy state and you knew that that was what you had to go back to after this. Whatever it was, it left an uneasy feeling, a growing pit in your stomach.

Snapping out of your thoughts, you looked over at your girlfriend, watching her laugh at something one of the others had said. You didn’t want to worry her, you just needed a moment to compose yourself. So you reached for her t-shirt, tugging slightly to get her attention, sucking in a breath as her gaze met yours.

Her smile was still present when she looked over at you but her eyebrows were furrowed in confusion at the sight of your distressed expression, something that only she was able to detect. She leaned closer, lowering her voice to a murmur, “You okay, ma?”

You nodded, letting your fake bubbly presence consume you, “Yep, totally fine. Just need to pee, I���ll be back.”

She nodded, watching you carefully as you slipped out of her hold, pushing your way through the crowd of bodies toward the back of the bar where the restrooms were. She let herself focus back on the conversation at hand, easily falling back into the rhythm of it. 

She was almost too far into it to notice that you had been gone for more than 10 minutes, but when she reached for your hand to play with the rings on your fingers she remembered where you had gone. She scanned the bar for any sign of you but was left with a frown when she couldn’t find you. 

She excused herself from the table, stuffing her hands in her pockets as she followed the path you had taken earlier to the bathroom. And if she hadn’t been staring down every single person in that building like they had done something to hurt you, she wouldn’t have found you against the wall, talking animatedly about something to a guy who stood in front of you. 

Her eyes narrowed, taking a step toward the two of you but was cut off by an eager woman who was holding a pen and a napkin in her hand. Paige tried her best to give her a kind smile, keeping the protectiveness pushed down as she talked, “Hi.”

“Hi, I’m so sorry to interrupt but my niece absolutely adores you, and I was just wondering if I could have your autograph so I could give it to her.”

She let her smile turn genuine as she heard her explanation, nodding and taking the items from the woman’s hand, scribbling her signature across the white napkin before passing it back to her. She sighed softly when she finally left her alone, redirecting her eyes to where you were standing and she swore you had upped the wattage of your smile even more than when she saw you before.

This time, she avoided any more interruptions as she made her way to the two of you, stopping just to the side of you, hands back in her pockets.

Neither of you noticed at first, your mouth still moving faster than your brain could comprehend. He had a small look of fondness in his eyes as he looked at you, nodding along to each word you said. 

You on the other hand, despite talking so happily, had thought you had made it clear that you were the furthest from interested in him. 

You bumped into him on your way out of the bathroom, in the small corridor that split between the men’s and women’s doors. You had caught wind of something he had been saying to his friend, something that you instantly recognized as one of your many hyperfixations and you wasted no time launching into a conversation with him, your tendency to ramble on and on overtook you in seconds. 

You barely registered his hand reaching out to place on your hip, but the soft brush of his fingers against your exposed skin caused you to jump, excitement washing off your expression.

Paige’s protective instincts kicked in, reaching to intercept his second attempt of grabbing you, wrapping her arm around your waist, and glaring at the guy.

She looked down at you, finally tearing her heated stare from him. She softened immediately, squeezing your hip and giving you a lazy smile to make you more comfortable, “Everything okay, ma?”

You were getting a wave of deja vu as she asked the question, the feeling you had earlier coming back. You gave her a hesitant nod, glancing over at the guy who stood there, slightly awe-struck at the sight of you two together.

He gulped nervously when the fire returned to Paige, “You two are dating?”

The blond nodded, pushing you slightly behind her, not wanting you to be in his direct line of sight anymore. However the guy didn’t want to push his luck, between the look on your girlfriend’s face and the weight of eyes from the table across the bar where the team sat, it was enough to have him muttering an apology and practically running off towards another group of girls. 

She waited until he was far enough away from the small corner you were in to turn and look at you, studying your face intently. Despite the scrutiny she had you under, you couldn’t help but smile and relax, peering up at her with what she could call your signature doe eyes, ones that made her want to drop everything and kiss you, bottom lip between her teeth. 

“Did he say something before that? Make you uncomfortable?”

You shook your head, still having yet to say a word to her since you left for the bathroom nearing 20 minutes ago at this point. It irked her in the slightest, usually, you were talking her ear off - just like you were doing earlier with that guy - about some new TV show you started watching or a new recipe you found on TikTok, but now she could barely get a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ out of you.

“Babe you sure he didn’t do anything, because you know I’ll-”

“Paige,” you interrupted, voice soft but firm enough that she shut her mouth as soon as she heard it. 

You rose on your tiptoes, kissing her cheek, “I’m fine. I promise, we were just talking and the touch caught me off guard, it was harmless.”

“Didn’t look harmless. Looked like you were gonna crap your pants.” She grumbled, dropping her hands to her side.

A laugh bubbled out of you and she finally cracked a smile, little but noticeable. She loved making you laugh, it was the easiest thing for her to do but every time she did she felt like she had won the championship, as cheesy as it was. 

“I did not look like that.” 

“Sure you didn’t. I’m positive you would’ve ruined this perfectly good pair of jeans if he said one more thing about- what were you even talking about?”

You turned sheepish as you mumbled out your hyper-fixation to her, causing her to roll her eyes in return.

“Alright, if that conversation continued, I probably would’ve punched him for making you have to get rid of my favorite pair of jeans on you.”

“Paige, stop. I didn’t look like that.” Your protest was whiney and your lips formed a pout as you continued to stare up at her. 

The tiny smile she had widened into a grin as she reached a hand towards your hair, moving it over your shoulder and letting her fingers rest against the back of your neck, thumb grazing your jawline steadily, “You’re right. You looked gorgeous just standing there, baby. You get that glow around you when you ramble.”

Heat rushed to your cheeks and you knew it had nothing to do with the growing crowd on the dance floor a few feet away from you. The new pink tint to your cheeks only caused Paige to smirk more. She didn’t say anything though, using her other hand to your hip and bringing you impossibly close, your foreheads resting against each other. 

If you were aware of any looks on you before, you weren’t now, every noise and blur of color fading into the background as your eyes bore into hers. 

And the two of you stayed like that for at most 30 seconds but to you two, it felt like hours. You closed your eyes as she let her thumb brush across your cheek, letting whatever stress and uneasiness that lingered go away, a distant memory of the past. 

“I’m always going to be there to protect you, you know that right?”

You hadn’t heard her voice that unsure in a long time, and maybe you were imagining it but when you opened your eyes again, you saw the unmistakable uncertainty on her face. You frowned, “‘course I know that. Would never doubt your possessive nature.”

She scoffed, “I wasn’t being possessive. Just cautious.”

“Oh is that what we’re calling it now?” 

The two of you started to make your way back to the table, her hand intertwining with yours, swinging your arms back and forth. 

“Next time,” she spoke after a beat, voice teasing. “I’m going to the bathroom with you.”

“Not possessive my ass.”  You muttered, but you should’ve known better than to think she wouldn’t hear it because soon her hand did meet your ass, another grin on her face.

Hi all I wanna talk about the Star Wars Celebration 2023 so-

Warnings: Spoilers, long post, not a fic, idk what else

SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS RELATED TO ANY/ALL NEW STAR WARS CONTENT!!!

So I wasn’t really aware of Star Wars Celebration this year cuz my b-day was Friday and this past Sunday was Easter so you can bet I was excited to see the live streamed videos on Youtube. After going through most videos available, I started going online and looking at different articles and whatnot (I also saw those vids of KK walking out on stage to quiet/shame applause lol).

I hate KK with a passion so I’ve been unsure about new Star Wars projects but from what little I’ve seen, I definitely feel a bit better about the future of Star Wars (and hope KK is on her way out).

I’d like to talk about Ahsoka (live action) first. I love the concept of continuing the Rebels story. I enjoy Rebels. Not as much as Clone Wars and is about tied with Tales of the Jedi, but I definitely enjoy Rebels more than Bad Batch (which I’ll get into later).

First off, the cast for Ahsoka. I think it’s great! We’ve seen Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka (and obviously Hayden Christensen as Anakin/Vader) so I was really only wanting to see the animated Rebels characters (Ezra, Sabine, Zeb, Chopper, Hera). While Zeb wasn’t shown in the Ahsoka trailer shown, we did get about 30secs from Mando when he talks to Paul Sun-Hyung Lee’s character (I forget his name). I thought Zeb looked great and loved they got Steve Blum (the original VA) to play him. The other Rebels that have been shown are Hera, Chopper, Sabine, Thrawn and a hologram image of Ezra. Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine looks amazing and Mary Elizabeth Winstead looks great as Hera. Chopper, being a droid, obviously looks great as well. Eman Esfandi as Ezra looks amazing as well. For a while, like lots of fans, I thought Mena Massoud would be Ezra (he was coming off his Aladdin success) but when Eman Esfandi got the role, I saw Massoud’s response and was put off from the guy. Massoud didn’t seem happy/polite, to me at least. Plus Esfandi looks more like Ezra than Massoud does (especially w/ the nose, eyebrows and chin). I also think Esfandi looks a lot like Ezra’s father Ephraim Bridger. Idk if Eman Esfandi’s been in anything else but I’m not put off by new actors. I think new actors can be amazing (the only disney example I can think of is Neel Sethi as Mowgli from the live action Junglebook remake from 2016).

Now for the main man, Thrawn. I know he’s a comic/Legends character but for the purpose of this post, he is animated first then shown in live action. Because he was shown in animation first, I’m always on the side of getting the VA to be their character in live action (James Sie is doing this in AtLA as the cabbage man). When I found out that Lars Mikkelsen is Thrawn I was over the fucking moon.

Controversial opinion?? Thrawn was done dirty in Rebels. I was 16 when I first watched Rebels and I definitely think he was overhyped. I know Rebels is more kid-oriented, but I’d say going into the 2nd half of S1 had a more CW-esque feel to it and definitely by the end of S2, I thought Rebels was gonna be CW 2.0. I learned that Thrawn is supposed to be cold, calculating and patient so I re-evaluated my feelings on S3 and realized that Thrawn was building up to the S3 finale. By S4 and with the introduction of the Loth Wolves, I definitely thought Thrawn should’ve made some waves at this point. I’d say that the only real damage he’s done was in the S4 finale, forcing Ezra to sacrifice himself.

I think Ahsoka is the perfect chance to show just how dangerous and lethal Thrawn can be. I HAVEN’T READ THE THRAWN TRILOGY BOOKS so everything I know about it is from wookieepedia and google. I’m wondering if they’ll bring in any Legends characters related to Thrawn (ELI VANTO!!! He’s right there c’mon).

Lastly I wanna talk about Huang, the lightsaber construction droid. We first see Huang in Clone Wars S5 with the Ahsoka/Younglings/Hondo arc. Huang definitely reminds me of the wand guy in Harry Potter, but sassier lol. I’d heard from leaks online that Huang was going to be in Ahsoka, but to actually see him was amazing. I immediately questioned if the other Younglings are still alive at this point (they’d probably be mid 30s?) We get confirmation that Gungi is alive in Bad Batch S2 E6 Tribe, so I wouldn’t say it’s impossible that the others are alive.

I know that bringing back familiar Jedi is controversial among lots of fans (feeling it takes away from O66). But I actually like it because it shows that even though O66 was planned from the beginning (w/ Sifo Dias/Dooku/Palpy), the plan wasn’t perfect (and then of course the retconning of brainwashing from prequel trilogy to inhibitor chips). I’m sure Palps never expected the inhibitor chips to degrade or that the clones would be independent thinkers. I actually like when they bring back familiar Jedi.

So, overall, I’m definitely stoked for Ahsoka. We haven’t gotten confirmation but I definitely wanna see Lothwolves, the World between Worlds, and Jacen Syndulla (Hera/Kanan’s son). I didn’t particularly like his design in Rebels (he should’ve had lekku w/ his green hair imo) so I wouldn’t be upset if he didn’t look exactly the same. I’d also like to see more clones. I’d like to see Ahsoka reunite with Wolffe, Cody, Rex and Gregor. I’d even be fine with unnamed clones.

I’m assuming Ahsoka takes place during Mando S2/3, maybe S1 was well but I’m focusing on the 2nd and 3rd season. That means the Empire has been gone for about ~7yrs (10 at most I think) and Vader is dead. I’d like to see Obiwan show up as a force ghost to Ahsoka as well. He was there for Luke after his death in ANH, but I’d argue that Obiwan loves Ahsoka just as much as Luke. I’d like to see Ahsoka using to Force to feel when Obiwan died in ANH like how she did in hyperspace, sensing Anakin’s fall in CW S7 finale. Make it painful, I wanna sob lol.

I also wouldn’t mind Ahsoka meeting Boba Fett again. They met once in S2 I believe when Boba tried to kill Mace w/ Aurra Sing and her crew. Plo Koon took Ahsoka with him to go face them and while Ahsoka and Boba argued pretty much the whole time, I think her words really got to him so I can see them starting out tense then as they get to know each other, Ahsoka would see similarities between Boba and the clones she served with and he’d be annoyed lol.

So yeah, I think those are my thoughts on Ahsoka and I don’t want this post to get super long (even though it kind of is).

The next show I wanna talk about is Skeleton Crew. I’m excited about this show but I’m more curious than excited. I love Jude Law and the idea that it takes place in some uncharted region in space is great (new planets/locations/people). I love the whole premise that Jude Law’s character protects a group of Younglings since it matches my own HC of Hondo protecting the Younglings he met. Idk who else is in this show, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. I can see them bringing in Cal Kestis in live action (with Cameron Monaghan obviously) for this show (then perhaps have him crossover with other shows like Mando/Ahsoka). I don’t know much about it so I don’t really have a lot to talk about with this show.

Now I’d like to talk about Acolyte. I saw the leaked teaser uploaded to Youtube (idk if it was taken down but I can’t find it—it was phone footage and had no commentary). I believe this show is supposed to be set during the High Republic era (350-50yrs before the Skywalker Saga). Love that timeline setting. We hardly have any canon info on that era so this is perfect. Also Acolyte is about the rise of the Sith (in a time that was considered prosperous for the Jedi) so I think that’s super interesting. I had heard that it could also have Palpatine’s origin story??? YES PLEASE!!! Given that the High Republic Era ended 50yrs before TPM, it’s possible Palps was alive at least during the end of the High Republic Era. I’d like to see his master Darth Plaguis as well and that whole story Palps tells Anakin in RotS during the bubble opera.

I saw that martial arts is going to be a major part of this show and I’m super excited. Jedi have been shown to fight hand-to-hand before but I hope martial arts connects somehow to the Force (like how AtLA uses different martial arts for the bending types). Speaking of AtLA, I’m wondering if SW is utilizing martial arts BECAUSE of AtLA’s success (the Netflix live action show, Avatar Studios). Dave Filoni (Felony) also worked on AtLA so I wouldn’t be surprised if that turned out to be true. But anyways, I’m also super excited for Acolyte as well.

Alright now for the animated shows.

Tales of the Jedi is confirmed for a 2nd season and reportedly there are more writers. I’m hoping that means we get either more episodes or longer episodes. I don’t believe anything else, story wise, is confirmed, but I’d love to see Jedi we didn’t quite see enough of. What I’d like to see:

—Quinlan Vos training Aayla Secura

—Mace Windu training Depa Bilaba

—Yoda/Yaddle relationship confirmation (I HC they are baby Yoda’s parents cuz obviously).

—Luminara/Barriss Offee bonding (I’ve seen so many people hate on Luminara for her treatment of Barriss and I definitely think they all miss the point but that’s a whole other post).

—Caleb/Kanan bonding w/ Younglings like Ahsoka did w/ Gungi and the others.

—Yoda making Shaak Ti in charge of the clones (and her being a mom to every single one of them). She would definitely be the one to bring Younglings/Padawans in to train with the cadets so they learn to work together.

—Plo Koon being a dad to Wolffe/Ahsoka/the 104th (I wouldn’t mind seeing Plo’s backstory either).

—Kit Fisto’s story (being discovered, training, meeting Monnk, meeting Nadar).

—Anything about Saesee Tiin, Eeth Koth, Adi Gallia, Stass Ali or Ki Adi Mundi

—I could also see Cal Kestis making his animated debut (outside of video games) in this show as well.

—Ahsoka getting her 2nd lime green saber/Ahsoka getting her white sabers/purifying kyber crystals.

If the show did stories about other characters besides Jedi:

—Tales of the Clones (obviously unwhitewashed—I can dream can’t I?)

—Grievous’s backstory. Seriously this would be amazing.

—Huang’s backstory. When was he created? Was he a droid belonging to a Jedi (like R2/3PO and Anakin) or was he made specifically by the Jedi to be the lightsaber constructor. Maybe have a scene w/ a Youngling/Padawan Yoda??

—Shmi Skywalker being happily married to Lars. Bonus points for being a mother figure to Owen and her feeling like she failed Anakin (Obiwan parallel). Idk just more Shmi Skywalker. TPM didn’t have enough Shmi content.

All of these ideas could potentially tie in Jedis so it could still fit ‘Tales of the Jedi’.

As for Visions Season 2, I have absolutely no idea what to expect (just like S1) but all the animation shown looked 🔥 so I’m definitely excited for this. I believe in S1 we saw Boba Fett make a cameo in one episode. I didn’t recognize any cameo appearances from what was shown but please let me know if I missed anything (I’m not good with Legends/Extended Universe characters). Again, like Skeleton Crew, I can’t talk much about Visions simply because I don’t know enough/not enough has been shown. But definitely excited for this.

Now for Bad Batch Season 3.

Those that follow/have seen my posts regarding Bad Batch know that I don’t particularly like the show. I never have. In short, THE WHITEWASHING, the writing, the animation (regarding Omega’s emotional intensity), and Cid are all subpar. You can definitely tell this is a Disney Star Wars show (like the 1st half of S1 of Rebels—Rebels was the first disney animated SW show).

I will say that there are particular ideas that I liked but I just don’t think they were executed well. Dooku’s warchest/Serrano, Cody, Gungi, Echo leaving, the Zillobeast, Mayday/Crosshair duo, family vs soldiers trope, and even one of CF99 making a sacrifice are all great ideas I just don’t think it was done justice.

Season 3 is the final season and I can’t express how happy I am. I know that we are just going to get more of the same. The clone model/Omega’s design will not change (fuck Jennifer Corbett, Brad Rau and Dave Felony honestly), Cid is technically still in the picture, and the story has changed from saving Crosshair to saving Omega. I think it’s important to note that Hunter has no reason to believe Omega and Crosshair are together. Omega isn’t like the group. That’s the whole point of S1 w/ the bounty hunters. So having Tech sacrifice himself FOR CROSSHAIR, then having Hunter at the end say they are going to rescue Omega instead just undermines Tech’s sacrifice. Also the way Cid looked somewhat remorseful when accepting payment from Hemlock in the finale got me nervous. PLEASE NO REDEMPTION ARC FOR CID!!! GET RID OF HER!

I think the only thing I’m looking forward to for S3 is the music and the scenery animation. I don’t think I’ll watch Wednesdays. I was in no hurry for S2 and the disappointment I have for both S1 and S2 has made me not want a S3 but at least it’s almost over and they can do a new show. I love the CW-style animation, just make POC look like POC!!! It isn’t hard. I’m still hoping for a more adult/Andor-style CW-animated show completely disconnected from the Skywalker Saga (IN THE KOTOR ERA PREFERABLY!!) That’s my dream.

So yeah, I guess that’s all my thoughts on Bad Batch S3.

Lastly I wanna talk about that new animated Young Jedi Adventures. It’s set in the High Republic Era and features new characters (along w/ Yoda) but it’s aimed for preschoolers. Honestly I’m actually kind of excited for this show. I’m wondering if we’ll see any familiar faces or not (and if we do, will they be changed from Legends?). I don’t know anything else except the names of the characters have been released. I’m assuming it’ll be a kind of basic toddler show about learning the basics like what to do when you feel sad, how to share, bullying maybe, idk basic little kid lessons you know? I’m assuming these lessons are the ‘core’ foundation of who a Jedi is supposed to be—selfless people who do good and builds the Younglings up and maybe will end with the main group becoming Padawans/getting assigned a Jedi Master. Idk that’s just my guess, I could be totally wrong.

So out of the whole Star Wars Celebration, I’m mostly excited for the live action stuff (I didn’t talk about it, but that mando movie sounds pretty cool), but I am looking forward to Tales of the Jedi S2 and SW Visions S2. I didn’t talk about this either, but I’m a bit on the fence about the new Rey Skywalker/sequel movie. Apparently it’s 15yrs from Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker and Rey is a Jedi Master building the New Jedi Order or something like that. I LIKE Daisy Ridley. I DO NOT like Rey Skywalker (like many fans). the true eclipse

Buckle up, folks, this is going to get long.

What seems to be the most popular theory people have derived from the symbolism in this series casts Akk as the sun and Ayan as the moon in an eclipse. @grapejuicegay (kk) and I, through a number of posts and a bunch of dms, have been breaking that idea down to its barest functions, starting with:

“I don’t actually think that Akk is the sun. I think that credit belongs entirely to Suppalo, and Akk, [...] is just a representation of that sun.

I think the eclipse is Ayan’s influence on Akk blocking out the influence of the sun.” (ref: kk)

Suppalo's emblem is literally an image of the sun. And it’s not just Akk being affected here by the moon! It’s everyone! It’s Kan, Thua, Wat, and the entire student body.

“During an eclipse, when the moon covers the sun the sun’s influence is reduced. So if control over the students is through the sun, the moon covering it would mean the loss on control.”

That made me think though about Ayan saying "even if i wasnt here this would still be happening" - so yes Aye is the moon to Akk, and a figure many of the characters go to for advice - but as a whole The World Remembers group is actually the moon to Suppalo.

And while Ayan supports The World Remembers, he’s not actually behind what they’re doing. The protests started before he joined the school. He’s given them encouragement, but lately they’ve been growing their own support from others in Suppalo, and they’ve done that all themselves.

And kk had something absolutely galaxy brained to say about that too in our dms:

The World Remembers WOULD still be doing everything they're doing now without ayan around and they WOULD reach the same conclusions and the only reason we don't think that more is because this show has been diverting our attention this entire time. i've been rewatching old episodes a little bit and the only reason there's any connection between world remembers organising stuff and ayan is because AKK KEPT SAYING IT and he was always wrong but he said it so much that it just became this thing that was like, yeah ofc.

WHICH ALSO. SUCH a good way to show brainwashing??? they're not even showing it, they're just doing it to us [the audience] so that at some point we might realise it's happening and it's like you're not special, it can happen to anybody. everybody is susceptible to propaganda.”

And here’s the real kicker: BOTH of these parties - The World Remembers group and Ayan - have differing motivations that are leading towards the same goal. Both are devoted to searches for the truth, and are uncovering oppressive regulations in the process. Aye is searching for the truth about Dika, and The World Remembers is searching for the truth about the curse - asking for a proper investigation into who could be trying to hurt the students and tearing down Suppalo’s credibility as they go.

(there's already been a lot of analysis into the other ideas they represent: the fight for no uniforms which has led to a criticism of homophobic society and the way oppressive systems benefit from heteronormativity specifically - so i won't say more of that here)

The point is...the real eclipse is truth and knowledge outshining fear and oppression.  

...But surely Akk has a bigger role in this, right?

To us, Akk can't be the sun because he isn't being covered up, or smothered, like the moon does to the sun - he's being brought out of his shell instead.

And so here is a special shoutout to @singharit​’s theory that made kk and i lose our minds:

“something something the way how akk is associated with water and the sea and how so many moments i can think of that involve him opening up to ayan also involve water in some way. [...]  

the way how ayan is the moon, steady and sure [...] being not just a light in the dark for the other students wrt truth and justice and the concept of shame, but also the very thing that controls the tides with its gravitation pull.

We both adore this idea, not just because water is the exact opposite of fire, but also because it's a symbol of change and erosion. The longer Akk spends around Aye and his influence, the more he opens up, the more he changes, the more he questions, the more his original brainwashing by Suppalo/Chadok/the sun to focus on rules wears away into embracing the freedom of expression and being himself.

As Akk’s relationship with Ayan grows, the eclipse draws closer, which leaves only one question left to ask: What will happen when the eclipse arrives and the tides reach their peak?

TLDR; The real eclipse is truth and knowledge (the moon) outshining fear and oppression (the sun). Akk is affected by the moon, changing like the tides the longer he is in it’s influence.

The police officer Hyuk is referring to is Hae. He is just is teasing that how Hae looked in that photo next to those three.

“y/n what do you think you are doing!” he walks towards you and grabs your phone, to take another video to post to you instagram story. “hey guys drew here, y/n looks super pretty tonight” he shows you and you laugh, reaching to tear the phone from his hands. “drew has drank a little too much guys, don't mind him.” he ends the video, and you finally grab the phone. 

drew pouts, “hey I wasn't finished talking about you” you shake your head, shoving your phone down the couch cushions to hide it. “go dance again, I was enjoying the show” you lean back against the couch, grabbing your wine taking a sip.

“nope.” he plopped down right besides you, throwing an arm over your shoulder. everyone continued to dance around talking to each other. “I want to stay with you” he turned his head, looking down and you turned your head so you could smile at him. 

“hmm drunk drew is quite needy huh?” you tease, and he gives you a shrug. “just wanna be close to my best friend” he speaks slowly and you grab his hand that was hanging off your shoulder, and squeeze a bit. 

“you look so pretty, have I told you that yet?” he leans in a bit, whispering to you. you giggle, “yup thank you. you look super pretty tonight too drew” you pout at him. 

he smiles, “aw thanks” he teases, lacing your fingers together. he tugged you closer into his side. you guys were always comfortable with affection and hugging, holding hands and such. but you never would admit you felt more for him than just best friends. and he would never admit it either.

but everyone around you guys knew how much you both liked one another. but only you two were blind to it. 

“dance with me..” he leaned in pecking your head and smiling. “drew I hate dancing” you laugh, shaking your head. “not taking no for an answer, up ya go!” drew stood pulling you with him. 

making his way towards your friends and pulling you flush against his chest, wrapping his arms around your body, swaying to the music. “why are we slow dancing” you laugh, and maddie winks at you. 

you shake your head and drew twirls you both around, “go slow dance with chase” you nod to your friend who was shotgunning a beer at the moment. “why would I slow dance with his ugly ass when I could slow dance with the most beautiful girl ever” he gave a look of confusion. he stops swaying around, to music obviously not made for slow dancing. 

everyone else in the room was caught up in conversations of their own, and he moved to use his hand to cup your cheek, “I really wanna kiss you right now” he leans in pressing his forehead against yours as you look up due to the height difference. 

“I don't think best friends kiss..” you whispered, and he smiled, shaking his head. “hmm I don't know I think we could change the rules a bit..” he shot you a goofy drunk grin, “let me kiss you pretty girl.. been waiting to do it for too long.” he whispered back, so it was only a moment between you both.

with a slight nod of your head, he smashed his lips on yours, giving you a breathtaking kiss. 

“you owe me twenty bucks..” maddie laughed out pointing at rudy. rudy shook his head, “can't believe he actually made a move.” we pull apart and laugh at our friends bets against us. “shut up rudy” we both say in unison. 

everyone laughs and drew steals another kiss,  “best friends to lovers it seems” you smile.

There won’t be. I’m sorry if you were hoping for that! The Patreon moment is meant to be entirely optional, it’s not something that gets you extra content in the main game.

Is the new CG artist the main one now? :0 I’ve noticed theres been a difference in the art style recently. Is the old CG artist still going to make art for the game? :0

The original artist still makes CGs for the game sometimes, but he mainly focuses on character sprites.

Are you going to put the NSFW our life moment on a website other than patreon? I would love to get it but I can't use patreon atm.

I don’t know. I'm afraid we can't release the Patreon Moment on a normal game storefront because we can't mix 18+ content with our family friendly game. If there's some other place similar to Patreon where it's not the normal type of full-scale public content releases we'd consider using that, but I’m not sure if there is another site that’s better than Patreon in that regard. I'm sorry.

Out of curiosity, in all of your games so far, which characters in each were the most fun to write? They obviously don't have to be your favorite characters!

Buffalo Seer in AFA, really everyone in XOD/XOBD is pretty equally entertaining to write, The Guide in LoV, and Cove in OL!

I noticed a bug with the Patreon moment when it comes to what your character wears. When Jamie and Cove are kissing while my character only had dresses selected, I had both the option to remove the dress or to remove the shirt... Picking one of the options to interact with Cove, after he removed his shirt, it had Jamie remove their shirt followed by ther pants despite only having dresses picked.

I’m afraid things haven’t been changed or removed, so I think you might’ve accidentally picked the wrong things somewhere along the way and locked yourself out of being able to propose by mistake. Sometimes you meant to say you want to get married but instead you mis-click and have it so the MC isn’t thinking about marriage or something. All I can suggest is starting from the beginning of Step 3 and making sure to follow the steps listed in the FAQ. I’m sorry for that.

Did yall remove some of the options for when youre making out with Cove in the charity moment? I could've sworn you could grab his bonkadonk and its not there anymore 

This is the same situation as the above. We didn’t remove things and you’re not wrong that there are sometimes those options. But there are various choices you have to make to get those options and it sounds like you accidentally missed something. If your relationship isn’t long-term, you can’t do it for example.

Yeah, he’s awkward about it because he likes the MC and it feels very personal to share a straw with his crush.

Hi! I just wrapped up my second playthrough of Our Life, and I absolutely adore it, but I had a question. I went to the gallery and found I was missing 2 CGS (specifically Step 1-3 and 2-3) and I had no clue where they would've shown up. Which moments are those found in? 

You get it by telling Cove about his dad offering you money to be his friend in Step 1 and Step 2. You can’t get both in one playthrough, since you can only tell Cove the truth once. I’m really glad you liked it!

I don’t know, aha. I think Baxter was around 5′10 and Derek was like 5′8/5′9, maybe. I really am not one who has specific heights for things in mind.

I was wondering if there is a way to transfer save data? Even if through the game files. I wanted to be able to transfer my save data from my desktop over to my laptop so that I could continue playing right where I left off from but I'm not entirely sure how to go about that. 

If you save the save folder/persistent data of the game from your desktop and put it into the game folder on your other device, that could work.

Unfortunately, it’s not really something we have a plan for. We couldn’t finish the game if we tried to include every disability and have it be meaningful. It’d just be too much content to create. But if we decide to only include a few, how would we choose which disabilities get to be represented and which are left out? I don’t know. It’ll probably have to be something we don’t include as an option again, sadly. I’m sorry.

Honestly, I would like to thank Our Life for helping me come to terms with my sexuality. Before, I never would've actually thought that it was possible to like boys romantically and still be asexual. Almost all of the BL visual novels I've read had unskippable sexual content in them and it honestly just didn't click with what I feel. I'm glad I found Our Life. I love the game, the developers, and this fandom so much. Now, I can safely come out as homoromantic AND asexual (at least anonymously here anyway; my parents are still huge homophobes 😂).

I keep replaying Our Life to get every possible iteration and I am loving it <3 I was wondering if Cove gets locked out of his confession because MC was talking to Lee, would it be possible to confess to him in step 4? 

Yeah, you can avoid the confession in Step 3 and then get it in Step 4.

Hi, my Cove wears bracelets through step 2 and 3 but I still don't get an option to give him a bracelet? I didn't even know that was possible until I seen someone else ask about it lol 

Hm, did you use the Cove creator? Maybe there’s a bug where using the creator to add bracelets doesn’t fulfill the requirement to give Cove a bracelet in Step 3.

Wait, I'm dense, when does Baxter appear in step 2? Is it from big park firework? I feel so bad since i really love Baxter and waiting to buy his dlc. 

It’s in the Soiree Moment. You have to be just friends with Cove, indifferent, or crushing but not ask Cove to the dance at all. Then while there you can find someone new to dance with. But if you bring Cove to the dance while crushing, the MC won’t wanna dance with anyone else so you can’t get the scene.

In step 2 when we go to the soiree I made my mc go alone and baxter chooses the mc to dance, i'm curious, why did he pick the mc? sorry if this has been asked before! 

Because the MC looked to be around his age, seemed to also be searching for a partner, and had nice legs. A perfect option for him.

I read some of the FAQs, and I saw that we could tell Baxter about the condo that he rented there was previously the mean old grandparents. how do we get the mc to tell him that? 

It happens in the DLC Moment “Late Shift”. If you don’t have a job you instead get a longer scene with Baxter.

I don’t know if you’ve addressed this or not, but are you planning on paying voice actors for our life: now and forever?

I’m afraid I’m not sure what you mean. Are you asking how we programmed the screen or something script related? Adding Moments like that is pretty straightforward, though. You just have buttons that open to different labels and then the scripts are essentially individual short stories/vignettes. Good luck with your VN!

Since Autumn becomes gender fluid later in the game, will there be a character who remains as he/him to romance in game? 

OL1 has the he/him LIs, OL2 is all about other genders.

I don't want to impose on your creative plans, but a parrot could possibly make a good pet in an OL-type game? They're pretty long-lived and likely to still be thriving by the end even if the MC got them back in step 1. 

I do appreciate the suggestion, but I’m afraid it’s not likely going to happen. I understand there are technically some animals that could theoretically live long enough to last the whole game that or we could have the MC only get a pet after some years have already passed. But the many things that would have to be considered/accommodated for makes it just something we probably can’t manage adding. I’m sorry.

As time passes will we be able to see Qiu and Tamarack's other stage arts as well?

Yeah, we’ll show content from other Steps in the future. It’ll be a little while from now, though.

Can you date Cove and still have your family comfort you in the car?

You can’t get Cove’s Step 3 confession scene if you have the family comfort you in the car. But that’s not the only way to date him. You can get together with him earlier in the game or later on in Step 4.

Is Mc always going to be the one walking down the aisle or could Cove do it? Also could you choose to have one of your moms walk you? 

No. Cove wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle like that and the MC automatically respects that. And the MC also gets to have their preferences respected, so it’s up to you whether they want to do an aisle walk or not. You also can pick who, if anyone, walks with you.

Once step 4 is out, will you be able to go the whole game on crush/love without either of you confessing? 

Yes, as long as you tell the game you don’t want to progress the relationship. Even in Step 4 it won’t force you to officially get together.

Howdy, so in Step 4, there will be any Romance with Derek that is not part of any dlc? 

He’s only a friend unless you get his romance story.

Will the step 4 in OL2 be one big step or are you considering moments? 

Step 4 is just an epilogue in both games.

It was before Agatha hit the island. Summer had just began and life was good. You had your best friends around you as you all hung out on the hammocks in John B.’s back yard. Pope has been your neighbor since you were kids, and you were in every academic club he was in. If you had to pick one of the other Pogues, you were closest to Pope. Kiara of course was a close second, then John B. That left JJ. The two of you had been secretly...macking on each other despite the rule. The two of you thought it’d be better if no one knew so there was no awkward tension in the group. Yet everyone knew. Everyone in the group could see it, and everyone was cool with it because the two of you hadn’t made a big deal of it. Of course, JJ had ranted to everyone about how much he liked you on a fishing trip you had skipped out on after he’d had too many beers. And equally, one day when JJ was mowing lawns on The Cut, you were hanging at John B’s house and let a few too many hits from Kie’s joint get to you, and spewed all the bottled up emotions you had for your best friend.

So yeah, life was good. But also, incredibly sufferable when they others would tease the two of you, not knowing they knew.

You were laying in one of the hammocks, swinging back and forth as you tried to come up with something to do that day.

“I’m perfectly content with staying right here,” you had said with your eyes closed as you swayed in the hammock.

“I’m with Y/N on this one. Just hope the rain doesn’t come soon,” JJ agreed, which normally doesn’t happen when making plans.

“Fine, Pope and I are gonna head over to The Wreck and see what Kie wants to do,” John B. rolled out of his hammock as a crack of lighting struck over the ocean making JJ flinch, and accidentally roll out of his hammock on to the dirt. Pope, John B. and you erupted into fits of laughter as JJ stood up and brushed the dirt off.

“Alright yeah, very funny. I’m hilarious, I’ll just go home,” JJ was just poking fun at you, hoping you’d said something to get him to stay with you at John B’s. Pope got out of his seat as well and patted John B.’s shoulder.

“No,” you pouted and struggled to get out of your comfortable spot, wiggly your way out of the hammock, your three guy friends not helping but to smile watching you struggle. “Come on it’s raining, we can couch surf and watch a movie or something, JJ, stay,” you giggle while you pleaded out random ideas that popped in your head as you finally stood up from the hammock. JJ brought his hand to his chin, pinching his lip between his thumb and index finger and quickly scanned your body. You felt your heart beat in a different way and quicken when he did, a sudden flutter of butterflies in your stomach.

“Fine, only if your nicer to me though,” JJ nodded for you to follow him to the house as Pope and John B. headed to the Twinkie.

“Don’t ruin my sofa!” John B. called back. The two of you stopped, faces getting hot. Pope and John B. began to chuckle at the flustered expressions the two of you had.

“W-what?” You nearly coughed out thinking your friends were finally going to put the two of you.

“Cause of the couch surfing,” John B. winked as Pope laughed and walked away.

“Right,” you said even though they were already gone.

“Smooth,” JJ teased and wrapped his hand in yours and pulled you into the house.

“You weren’t any help,” you argued but chuckled and walked to John B.’s kitchen, opening the fridge to look for any kind of food you could snack on. You heard JJ mumbling something as he grabbed your backpack and walked to the bedroom. You laughed and shook your head while grabbing two beers from the fridge and following after him. You placed the two beers on the dresser by the door and sat next to JJ on the bed.

“So...what’re we watching?” You asked. You pulled your laptop from your back pack just to have the tan hand stop you.

“You didn’t really think we were gonna watch a movie, did you?” You looked over to catch JJ’s face inches from yours. Even though you’ve done so much with him, your breath still catches when you’re this close.

“I mean...what else are we gonna do?” You asked and felt JJ’s hand push the laptop back in your bag and set it on the ground, all while maintaining eye contact with you. You let out a shaky breath, still not over how much this guy affects you.

He leaned back up and returned to his spot with his face inches from yours.

“Come on Y/N...you’re a smart girl,” JJ lightly pressed his lips on to yours, feeling a tingle go from your mouth, down to your core. He pulled his lips from yours, making you chase after them causing a smirk to form on his face. “What do you want to do?” You weren’t confident enough in your voice, knowing if you’d answer it’d likely crack. So you simply moved your left leg over his lap and straddled his lap. JJ’s eyebrows cocked up as held back a slight chuckle because of the shock you gave him. You started to smile more as well as his hands rested on your thighs as he sat up to bring your lips together again. This time the kiss was deeper, you granting access for him to slip his tongue in. His hands started to slide up from your thighs, now gripping your hips and moving you against him in rhythm, grinding against him as a slight whimper escaped your lips. You felt a smirk tugged on JJ’s lips. Your right hand were playing with fistfuls of his hair, your left on his jaw, feeling it move in rhythm with everything else.

JJ’s hands now started to move quick, tugging at your light, baggy shirt making you pull away from the kiss. You moved your arms across your torso to take the shirt off, JJ putting his hands on the side of the shirt. You both started to giggle at the eagerness you had to have this shirt off. You tossed the shirt, to the side of the messy room, now only covered by shorts and a bathing top, and put you hands on JJ’s shoulders pushing him back on to the bed making him chuckle at the sudden control you had, knowing it would last for long. You tried to seductively take your time as you sat up with JJ watching your every move underneath him. His hands found their spot on your hips again, pressing you against him, trying to cause from friction. You bit your lip as you slowly undid the button on his shirt.

“For fucks sake,” he breathed out and you let out a yelp as the two of you were flipped on the bed and JJ was now on top. He put himself on his knees in between your legs, and nearly tore the black button up he was wearing off. Another giggle left your mouth as JJ scooter down the bed, lips lightly pressing a kiss on your stomach, a giggle leaving your mouth with each kiss as he trailed up. Yet the giggles stopped and turned to deep sighs as his lips worked around your chest and neck, hands doing their best to untie your bathing suit in the back. Once he got it undone, his lips started to attack your neck and collar bone now, his hand wrapping behind your neck and pulling you up with him so he could slip your top over your head. He leaned back and you felt heat rush to your cheeks as he admired your body.

“Fuck...Y/N you’re so gorgeous,” you let another light laugh out, not being able to help the floaty, giddy feeling you get around JJ. You smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him into another kiss and back down on the bed. He left your lips and trailed down now, his lips leaving little hickies around your breasts, making your back arch once he hit sensitive spots. He skillfully lead his left hand down to your shorts, unbuttoning them and slipping his hand down, feeling how wet you were through your bottoms and pulled his hand out, shifting so he was back on his knees, in between your legs.

“Fuck, JJ,” you breath out and used your hand to grab on to JJ’s hair and tugging at the roots, making him chuckle as you pulled him back to your face, lustfully pressing your lips on to his you started to moan into the kiss more as he grinding himself on to you. JJ let out a small grunt when your hand rugged at his hair more and your lips moved to his neck, bitting slightly to leave a mark. Yet the small moans and breaths were caught when the sound of a door made you freeze.

“Shit,” JJ whispered as you tried to quietly catch your breath. Through the shack walls, you heard more car doors shut and your friends joke and yell through muffled voices. The shark tooth on JJ’s black necklace dangled as his blonde locks fell around his face.

“Fuck,” he breath and moved his hands to your shorts to help you button and zip them. You two moved in a panic as JJ stood up and shut the bedroom door then flopping back on the bed making you giggle.

“Fuck,” you laughed when you couldn’t locate your bathing top. You watched as JJ’s face grew a mischievous smirk. You gave him a questioning look as he held up one finger to his lips, making sure you stayed quiet, slowly moving back over you, you laughed and shook your head, hearing your friends enter the house.

You giggled more once JJ’s lips were back on your neck, hands now pinching the sides of you making you laugh harder.

“Wow! The couch is perfectly fine!” John B.’s voice called making you try to fit JJ off of you. He continued to lick and kiss all over your chest and neck area making you continue to giggle.

“JJ stop,” you breathed out and laughed harder. He shushed you through laughs, knowing the walls were thick enough.

“JJ stop,” John B.’s voice mocked yours from the living room were you heard Kie and Pope laugh. You finally pushed JJ off of you, smiling and shaking your head as you snatched your bathing suit top from the ground and tied it around your back. You started to reach for your shirt, but was pushed back against the bed again, JJ’s bare torso against yours as you let out another breathy laugh. JJ’s lips were back on your neck like a leech making you smiled and peel him off of you.

“JJ, oh my god,” you giggled out, this time,

“JJ, oh my god!” Kiara mimicked your voice

“What?” He whined and handed you his shirt. “Do you think they can hear us?” JJ asked slightly louder, making you roll your eyes. JJ smiled innocently as he handed you his black button up. You smiled and put on the warm shirt, noticing a few buttons were popped off as you buttoned the bottom ones. JJ noticed as well and cocked an eyebrow up, like he was impressed you two did such a thing.

You followed after JJ as he crawled off the bed, running a hand through his hair before opening the door and walking around the corner. He leaned against the wall and looked at his three best friends smirking at him. You walked out after, holding back a slightly embarrassed laugh.

“It’s about damn time,” Pope rose his hand and pointed between the two of you. You smiled over at JJ who did the same to you.

“I have no idea what your talking about,” JJ looked back to his friends quickly before kissing your cheek and linking his fingers with yours.

“Where are you two going?” John B. asked with a smirk on his face, seeing his two best friends so happy. You pulled on JJ’s arm as your stopped in the door way and turned back to John B.

“We’re gonna go couch surf at my house,”

The man sighed at his desk, signing what felt like the thousandth paper that night. It was only 1am so the night was still young; he knew he'd be at this till morning only to have to go through his duties tomorrow without rest. It was not unusual for him, but the oldest brother was still feeling a bit burnt out.

Ding.

He paused for a moment before setting his pen down and picking up his phone from the corner of the desk.

'Daaaddy. Mammnk dispered'

Ignoring the name they gave him, the man just stared down at the text. He gave another big sigh.

'MC, where are you?'

'I djnno. I went tk a party with Mammm and Asmo and thyy jsyt went poooff.'

God, his brothers were idiots. What if something happens to MC while they're off doing whatever?

'I'll track your phone then. I'll be there soon'

Shit! Where'd they go?! He took MC with him to the casino to help distract the other gamblers as he played cards-- hey don't judge!! He promised to buy them a few drinks afterwards. So there they were, sittin' and drink together when this guy he owes money to starts running up and yelling at him! Of course Mammon had to bail! He told MC to run with him but at one point he turned around and the human wasn't there! He's been rushing around and searching for them for the last twenty minutes. Where did they go??

Bing. His phone went off. The moron facepalmed. He has his phone! He should have been calling them or something.

'Baaaabbby. Im loneyl.'

'Oi! Where'd you go? I told you to follow me!'

'But I waz tlkin to thhe fnny man! He evn boght more deinks.'

Shit. They're still back at the bar. But with him of all people??

'Babe, why ya drinking with that jerk??'

Okay so Levi himself is not really a drinker in most circumstances. He pretty much sees it as another thing normies do and use as an excuse to spend time with other normies. Like, why would he care about something so stupid anyway?

Still, that doesn't mean there aren't exceptions to that kind of thing. Like the new bottle he won from a contest run by the creators of the anime I Partied So Hard That I Ripped Opened The Frabric of Reality And Was Met By My Future Wife Who Is Secretly A Cat Girl From Venus! I mean, it's seriously cool! It's the same brand of Venustian wine that Nyanitia loves in the anime!

Levi was so excited when it arrived that he practically begged MC to come to his room to drink it with him as he played his new video game from Akuzon. Honestly it didn't end up like he thought it would though. The wine barely did anything to him at all. I mean, yeah, the third brother didn't have a lot of experience with alcohol but he thought he would at least feel a little different than normal. Eh, whatever. The effect is kinda lame but it's still from the anime! If it's good enough for Nyanitia then it's good enough for him.

The demon shrugged it off and got absorbed in his video game to the point where he even stopped talking to MC, which wasn't unusual. After dying a couple times, he threw his controller down.

"Uggghh, can you believe that MC--"

The boy just noticed that he was alone. Oh... was he really that boring to hangout with? The Avatar of Envy started mumbling a lot of insults to himself as he picked up the bottle.

"Was my gaming that bad? Or was it the wine?" He mused sadly. "No, I bet it was the wine. It barely did anything to me so I doubt it effected them either...."

He starts reading the label on the back, skimming till he reads a section on alcohol level. Level for demons: mild.

"That explains it..." He grumbled, continuing to read in his head.

Level for Angels: low medium. Level for Humans: HIGH. WARNING. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF HUMANS.

Oh...oh no. What's gonna happen to his Henry?? Are they gonna die?? Is Lucifer gonna kill him??? GAH! Where did they go--

Beep. His phone!

'Leeevvvvvi. I fels wooozy.'

Panicking, the boy typed back.

'Where are you??? Are you dying???'

Gah! What does that even mean?? Before the demon could respond, he got another message.

The boy's face and ears blazed red. I mean, yeah, it's not the first time he's heard/read them say that but still! Now isn't the time for this!

The demon let out a panicked yell and charged out his door. His foot collided with something and he heard a whine.

"Sweeeeetie why?" MC laid on the floor of the hallway, pouting and looking more hurt emotionally than physically.

Still panicking, Levi picked up the human and brought them back into his room. He laid them in his bathtub and start researching the affects of Venustian wine on humans.

Boy nearly collapsed from relief and exhaustion when he found out they only had a sip and shouldn't have any health issues from it.

Ends up apologizing a million times over and becomes extra protective of them for the next couple weeks and is paranoid about every food and drink placed in front of them.

Satan:

It was an average evening for him. He was in his room, reading in bed as he waited for MC to come home. Asmo managed to convince them to go to a party with him. Satan didn't really want them to go tonight, but he saw their eyes light up with just the idea of it and the blonde couldn't bring himself to say a thing. Like him, MC didn't really have any experience with parties prior to this, but unlike him, they had a great interest in them. How could he ask them not to go if this was an experience they had wanted for a long time?

Ding.

The man laid his book down next to him and reached for his phone that he laid on the closest stack of books.

'Satn, peple are sk mean 😥'

The demon launched into a sitting position.

'Who needs to die?' He texted back, protective instincts springing up inside himself for them.

'Nno. Teh people here just amke me feel so lft out.'

He sighed. MC was too sensitive for that kind of environment.

'Kitten, tell Asmo to take you home now.' Satan texted before adding 'Tell him I said so.'

'Btu hes tlkin to a succubus'

'I don't care. Tell him what I said.'

The demon waited a few minutes, but didn't get a new message.

'Kitten?' He texted them.

Minutes when by. Nothing. The blonde got out of bed and started pacing. When that didn't help, he started to transform from the anger at his brother. He decided to text Asmo.

'Bring them home now or so help me, you will face a different type of hell when you get back.'

No reply from his brother either. The Avatar of Wrath was ready to start breaking shit.

Ding. He quickly checked his phone. It was MC.

'Bb I love you.'

The blonde stopped in his tracks. Why--after over 20 minutes of waiting-- was that their only response?

The demon reached out for his door knob, ready to go out and hunt for them, when his door swung open, revealing his brother, who was holding up an intoxicated MC.

"Ugh, you ruined my night!" The fifth brother complained.

Satan, still in his demon form, was ready to deck the other man at best and at worst, who knows. He didn't get the chance to find out because instead, MC tumbled forward and into his arms.

"Satan," They whined. "I wanna.... I wanna lay down."

The blonde took a deep breath before looking to his brother.

"Just leave. Now." He slammed the door closed on the other demon before laying MC down in bed and joining them. He pulled the blanket over them both and held his Kitten close to his chest.

"I should have...stayed home." They mumbled.

He kissed their forehead.

"It's fine. You're fine now, Kitten."

Asmodeus:

After a long, but fun night at The Fall, the Avatar of Lust had his fill was ready to get his beauty sleep. Sadly, he had lost track of his Doll. Oh dear, where could they be? Despite being so late, there were still plenty of people out and he was having trouble tracking them down.

Beep. The demon checked his phone.

'Azzy, I lvoe you🥰'

Asmo giggled, texting back.

'Aww! I love you too! Now where did you run off to? I miss my Dolly~.'

'By eth bahroons'

The man headed off that way and found MC on the floor in the hallway that led to the bathroom.

"Well, what are you doing down there?" He teased.

MC started giggling.

"I fell."

Seeing that they weren't hurt, the demon simply bent over and helped them up. The human instantly leaned against him and hugged him close.

"I love you, Azzy." They told him, closing their eyes as they enjoy the embrace and pressing their cheek against his.

Asmo let out a small laugh then pulled back just enough to kiss his Doll on their cheek.

"Oh you're just too adorable, you know that?" He told them before leading them to the front of the building. "Now let's go home, okay?"

Beelzebub:

Beel woke up for a midnight snack and headed to the kitchen. It was a quick in and out thing, not wanting to be caught by his brothers. He grabbed a whole cabinet full of snacks and carried them back to his room.

Ding. His phone went off and as he opened the door to his room.

The demon laid his snacks on his bed and got in before grabbing his phone off the nightstand.

'Beeesly, I love oyu~'

The redhead smiled happily. It was MC.

'I love you too. When are you coming home?'

No response. The demon simply opened up a bag of chips and started eating. It's fine; he can be patient.

Instead of getting a response however, he was greeted by his Muffin at door.

"I'm baaack~." The human giggled, stumbling just slightly as they walked up to the bed and flopped down before snuggling up to the big demon.

Beel kissed the top of their head, smiling at them.

"Did you have fun with Solomon, Muffin?"

"Mhmm." They said, closing their eyes and stretching out their legs, causing some of the snacks to fall to the floor. He didn't mind.

"That's good." He sat the chip bag on the stand so he could use both hands to hold them close.

The two of them laid there, cuddled up together. The big demon stroked their hair till they heard the human's breath slow and were asleep.

"G'night, Muffin." He whispered. "Dream sweetly."

Belphegor:

It was the middle of the night and Belphie was asleep. That might sound normal for the Avatar of Sloth to you, but in actuality, this was unusual for him. The sleepy boy slept so much during the day that he was usually awake starting from whenever he woke up from his after-dinner nap up until around 4 or 5 am.

Tonight, however, Belphie really wasn't feeling it. Ya know, the whole 'awake' thing. He didn't feel like being conscious. The same reason he didn't wanna be awake was the same reason why he wasn't sleeping very deeply either.; MC wasn't there with him.

That scum Mammon took them out somewhere and they didn't even tell him. He had to hear it from Beel. The 7th brother has been grumpy since then and didn't wanna do anything so he hid away in his attic and fell asleep.

Bing. Bing. Bing.

The demon let out a frustrated sigh. That was the 9th text he got in the last two minutes. He picked up his phone from the other side of the bed and begrudgingly read his messages.

Belphie eyes went wide.

'What happened?'

'Mammo owes mnoey to this big Moloc guy and eh chased Maaamkn away.'

Hey! I just happened to see your last post and I wanted to ask you about pronouns

Lemme be clear, I am polygender and discovered not so long ago (befote that I was confused kk)

Now I have decided to use they/he/she pronouns but even tho I feel comfortable in them, I strugle using them. Like I keep on calling myself with my female pronouns (that were the ones I used before) and I kind of wanted to ask if this happened to you too when you started transitioning

So first I want to say it's valid to struggle with your own pronouns!

Second... I don't have a very vivid memory of the early parts of my transition. It was a very stressful and somewhat traumatic time for me, and my brain decides to just "yeet" trauma 😅

But, to the best of my memory, I did not? I've went through multiple identities, and multiple pronouns (though, never she/her after coming out) and that might be a difference here. I did always end up defaulting back to he/him, even though I tried adding other pronouns to myself, and eventually came to the conclusion that he/him are the pronouns that fit me best. Even though I'm also nonbinary (nonbinary trans guy), he/him just fits, and feels best.

So I can present a few.. theories? For you

So, having multiple genders is confusing at best sometimes, and stressful at worst. I'm not sure how your polygenderness manifests. If your genders don't fluctuate much and all are pretty much always present, it may make sense that you keep going back to she/her. Because it isn't "wrong" or "incorrect" per say, and it's something you're used to. It could be that since you're not super dysphoric about the pronouns or super adamant about never using them, you're having a harder time using anything else for yourself in practice.

But yeah, it could just be it's what you're used to, and when you're not actively practicing pronouns, it can take longer

If you're pronoun indiffetent, it could be convenience that your brain is latching onto

It could be a case of fear of others not respecting your probouns

There's so many valid potential reasons. And you're not somehow invalid or "faking".

And I want to just say this, your pronouns do not define your gender. You could be agender and prefer a single "binary" pronoun. Even if it turns out you just prefer she/her, your identity is still valid. Pronouns are a form of gender expression, and just like how a man can enjoy traditionally feminine attire and still be a man, anyone can use any pronouns that feel best for them, just like wearing a shirt of their favorite aesthetic

Ideas for troll denizens part 2!

Hello, how are you? Some time ago I made a post about ideas about troll denizens, and this is part 2! This time I’m going to talk about 3 trolls / denizens this time, and that comes from the fact that one of the denizens is already confirmed, but, I’m going to add a few more things.

Sollux and Hades: Ah yes, the famous cool troll with powerful powers. I have to admit that it took me a while to speculate on this guy’s Denizen, but I think I came to a conclusion. In Greek mythology, he is the god of the underworld and portrayed as the god of the dead, of the gods of the second generation (after the titans) he is has one of the most arduous jobs, which is to manage the kingdom of the dead and solve the problem of others (KOF KOF Typheus making a giant hole in the underworld KOF KOF). You would normally associate him with Sollux because he is a doom player, but I think there is something more to that. Sollux was for a long time “haunted” by the voices of ghosts that tormented him for hours on end, and over time, he became very weary, and that came to a point, which, when he had the opportunity to let go of the narrative and stay “isolated” and without suffering, he chose this option without thinking twice. Doom is directly related to legwork, and Hades seems to be in the same way as Sollux … But he has something that saves him. If you looked at my suggestions from Denizens, you noticed that I selected Feferi as Persephone, and that was no accident, and it was revealed that Feferi and Sollux had a short relationship that probably would have extended. In Greek mythology, Hades and Persephone had an extremely strong relationship (But this is a small detail, this is not the only reason I chose Sollux with Hades and Feferi as Persephone) Not to mention, that he has a certain rivalry with Zeus, a person with a super inflated ego, who is always at the top and lives a life of luxury without much difficulty, well, there is a troll in Homestuck with an inflated ego, at the top, and with a rivalry with Sollux … but that’s okay Grafin , but what is related to Sollux’s land quest? Well, besides the planet of Sollux being literally hell, Hades could help Sollux with something in his land quest, maybe help Sollux to … well, I don’t know, but if you have an idea, it would be really cool.

Nepeta and Artemis: AH YES! CATNIP AND SHIPS EVERYWHERE! But Nepeta is not only that, we will analyze her the goddess of hunting more thoroughly. Artemis is the goddess of hunting, the moon, chastity, childbirth and wild animals. She is one of the most revered deities in Greek mythology and in Roman mythology she is called Diana. Considered a fantastic hunter, Artemis was worshiped for alleviating female illnesses, protecting children and young people. Although she is always isolated in the forests, it does not mean that she is shy, quite the contrary, she is extremely confident and self-assured, and throughout history she has always been a virgin and has never been with any man. Nepeta is an olive troll who lives isolated from society as an outlaw, she is very good at hunting, and has a very strong connection with forests and animals. Until the end of Homestuck’s story, incredibly, Nepeta was a virgin and never stayed with anyone (Despite liking Karkat) despite that, Nepeta is not a very confident person, so much so, that she never declared herself to KK. As we can see, both have a very strong connection, and that would make Artemis a strong candidate for Denizen de Nepeta. Artemis could teach Nepeta to be a more confident, more confident person, and help in her land quest. I would love to see this Nepeta.

Kanaya and echidna: Well, this is a confirmed Denizen, and I don’t think I have much to say, but I think I can see some connections between Kanaya and echidna (and maybe Jade and cali). Kanaya is a kind of “” “” “mother” “” “” for the team, and she was responsible for “training” Eridan and giving him a wand. That same wand was able to turn Eridan into a monster, and if we think about it, Jade and cali are also related to the creation of monsters (Bec noir and LE). And a theory that I believe, is that Areana has Echidna, since Denizens speak in a language where only the chosen players, and Areana says that “I would speak to Echidna”, and this holds if we consider that Echidna is directly related to Image of Sophia, the Aeon who seeks information and who also created a monster, Yaldaboth. And caliborn is Homestuck’s demiurge, which gives more consistency to the theory.

X3 These fit well, though I’ll say, Aranea having Echidna is a popular theory, and it COULD be, however- I’ve always considered the idea that it doesn’t really have to mean much? Aranea was the one planning to make these things happen. Even if she has to get Porrim as a Proxy to talk to Echidna, specially with her own Light Player tendencies, she WOULD still put it as “I had to talk to Echidna” in this very self-aggrandizing Serket way of hers. Specially seeing as we’ve had Echidna seek audience with Players other than her assigned ones before with Karkat.

We are back with Nai being suffocated by Keshiki’s varuga [x]:

On the first page Keshiki laughs while watching him struggling and asks: “You said your name was Nai, right, coordinator?”

He continues on the second page: 

“Does it hurt not being able to breath? Ha ha ha”.

He looms creepily over Nai and says: 

“You know what? I think it will be really exciting to kill you! Don’t you agree? So be a good boy now...”

We meet Tsukasa/Yotaka again [x]. He and another Circus member are looking for Nai but it’s late already so his companion tells him it’s time to go to sleep, they can’t find Nai like this and they need to rest.

Tsukasa refuses and says he doesn’t want to disappoint Tokitatsu and that he wants him to be proud of him [x - first page]. The other guy scolds him and tells him that their misison is to defeat Kafka but that their work also includes taking care of themselves. Tsukasa gets angry and says he will go alone then but the guy says “You are too stubborn! Ok, we’ll go but we’ll stop after checking this place”.

Back to the bastard Keshiki now [x - second page]: “Do you know what I hate the most, Nai? Boredom. There's nothing worse than a dull and repetitive job!”

Nai cries in pain [x - first page] while K continues: “That’s why every once in a while, I feel like getting myself a big gift”.

K hugs the varuga containing Nai [x - second page] and says: “With this, I'm sure I'll be able to love you as much as I love my little brothers and sisters”.

Meanwhile, Nai starts to faint. He feels like he’s sinking in water and thinks of Gareki [x - first page]. In that moment, something like mud suddenly appears and drags Keshiki into the ground [x - second page].

He coughs and complains: “Making a mare appear under me is not fun... Karoku!” [x] while we see Kafka-Karoku appearing from the shadows: “Let Nai go, Keshiki!” he says angry.

“Hurry up!” he shouts again and Keshiki gives up: “Okay! I understand! Don’t get mad. Hakui, come back” he says while calling his coat-varuga (Hakui) back [x - first page].

The varuga releases Nai and KK gets closer to him. Nai tries to crawl away from him but KK follows him and asks: “Where are you going? Back to your creator?” (I think he means the other Karoku) [x - second page].

KK stands in front of Nai, grabs him by the hair and says: “No! I won’t allow it! You are coming with me!” [x - first page]. “As long as we're together, Keshiki can't hurt you”. Nai struggles to get away and KK loses his temper: “That’s enough!”.

He yells angrily: “Would you rather get killed by Keshiki here or be safe with me? It’s your choice! But are you ready to never see the people you love again?” [x - second page]. 

Nai thinks of Tsukumo, Yogi and Gareki and cries: “No! I want to see them again!” [x - first page]. 

“Then take my hand!” KK orders.

Nai takes his hand and they disappear amidst a flash of light [x - second page].

 Keshiki (still trapped in the mud) looks surprised and says “Don’t just leave me here! That’s not fun!” while he takes Nai’s shoe in his hand.

Just then, Tsukasa and the other guy arrive to the clearing and find Keshiki standing there [x - first page]. He looks at them and says: “Well, well, it looks like I have company. Good night dear visitors!”.

Tsukasa is shocked: “Did he spotted us from so far away in the darkness?!”  [x - second page].

Keshiki continues while smiling: “I’m sorry I’m not really presentable, I fell into a puddle and now I have mud everywhere!”.

“You are from Kafka, right?” Tsukasa asks.

“You are right!! It’s easy to guess, isn’t it?” K answers [x]. 

Tsukasa can’t move, Keshiki’s aura is so threatening it makes his blood run cold. He keeps talking: “But don’t worry, I never hurt my little brothers and sisters for no reason”.

“Who are you?!” Tsukasa asks.

Keshiki replies while opening his arms: “I’ve just told you. I’m your big brother!”.

“By the way, take this” he says throwing Nai’s shoe to them [x]. “That’s Nai’s. You can report back to your superiors that he has rejoined us”.

“Fucker!” Shouts Tsukasa and tries to attack him but Keshiki releases his varugas and escapes. Tsukasa is mad and frustrated because of the situation. The other Circus member tells him they need to inform Tokitatsu immediately.

We are now in Kafka-Karokus place (?). Is a big house in the middle of a field [x].

Eleska welcomes him happily until she notices Nai [x]. She looks at him scared and asks KK who’s that. KK calms her down and tells her:

“This boy is Nai. He’s my brother” [x - first page].

Eleska looks at Nai and says: “Really? So he’s the one you told me about before?”.

“That’s right”´ KK replies, “And from today on he’s going to live here with us” [x - second page].

“Huh? With us?” she repeats.

“That’s right. Come now, Nai and Eleska. We have many things to talk about. I’m sure you two will get along!” says Karoku as he starts walking.

The chapter finishes with sad looking Nai in the last panel [x].

SM:  What’s that supposed to mean?

DW:  Have a game plan.  Think before you act.

SM:  Are you implying I’m not capable of carrying this out?

DW:  I know you, you get carried away.

 SM:  So I’m too impulsive?

 DW:  You said it, not me.

 SM:  I hardly think it’s relevant here.

 DW:  Fine, whatever.  Get yourself killed.  See if I care.

 TR:  Cough.  Group text.

 SM:  Hey, Tani.  What’s up?

 TR:  Not much.  Just minding my own business here at headquarters.  

 JG:  You guys should probably take me out of this group now.

 SM:  Any good cases?

 TR:  Pretty quiet, actually.  Except for the stomping coming from Danny’s office.  Towards mine.  I better get off the phone.

 JR:  Saw the texts from yesterday.  Are we helping Steve with an op?

 DW:  “We” aren’t helping Steve with anything.  

 JR:  Okay.  But you know I’ll help out, if there’s anything you need.  

 DW:  Thanks, Junior.  Focus on the perp you’ve got in the back seat of your car for now.

 JR:  Yes sir.

 TR:  You know we’d all help.  Even Grover, I bet.

 DW:  While I appreciate the offer, what I’d really like is to get a confession in the case we’re actually working at this very moment.

 TR:  So, what, you want us to bring this guy in so you can talk to him?

 DW:  Something like that, yes.

 LG:  You’re really getting the hang of this boss thing, Danny.

 LG:  Is Danny with any of you guys?

 TR:  Nope.  He left RumFire before we even ordered a second round.  Seemed distracted.

 LG:  Where did he go?  He’s not answering his phone.

 TR:  I don’t know, home, I guess?

 LG:  Is Junior there?  Can he check?

 JR:  I’m at Tani’s.  What’s wrong?

 LG:  I got a call from Kono.  I need to find Danny.

 QL:  I can go over to Steve’s place and see if Danny’s there, I’m closest.

 LG:  Thanks, Quinn.  Go now.

 JR:  He might be at headquarters.  

 LG:  It’s past midnight on a Friday.  I doubt paperwork is that interesting.

 JR:  Sometimes he hangs out there, on the couch.

 LG:  Are you telling me he’s sleeping at the office, Junior?

 JR:  He didn’t want me to tell anyone.  I guess the house seems kind of weird without Steve.

 LG:  We’ll come back to that – for now, one of you get over to headquarters and see if Danny’s there.

 TR:  Lou, what are you not telling us?  What’s wrong with Kono?

 LG:  Kono’s fine, just find Danny.  

 TR:  Is she still hunting down sex traffickers?  Oh fuck, I bet Steve was helping her with an op.  That’s what those texts from Danny were about, sending Steve intel.

 JR:  Is Steve ok?  Does he need our help?

 LG:  Calm down, Junior.  You’re not going anywhere.

 QL:  I’m at the house.  I used the key in the hiding place when Danny didn’t answer the door right away. Eddie’s not much of a guard dog, he’s just licking me.

 LG:  He knows you.  Is Danny there?

 QL:  Hang on, I’m going upstairs.  He’s not going to jump around a corner and shoot me, is he?

 LG:  Let’s hope not.

 QL:  Okay, Danny’s here, he was just asleep.  But he’s awake now.  

 LG:  Tell him to call Kono immediately.

 QL:  He’s doing it now.

 TR:  Quinn, what is she saying?  What’s going on?

 QL:  He didn’t tell me.  Did you know Danny gets dressed crazy fast?

 QL: He’s got a go bag under his bed. Not sure they’ll let him take those guns on the plane.

 TR:  Ask him if we can help.  We can meet him at the airport.

 QL:  Too late, he’s gone.  

 TR:  Is Steve okay?

 QL:  I don’t know.  Damn.

 LG:  Sit down and breathe, Quinn.  

 QL:  I’m all right.  But shit. I’ve never seen Danny look like that.

 LG:  Like what?

 QL:  Terrified.

 JR:  Ok, how long do we wait before we call in the calvary?

 JR:  *cavalry

 TR:  Backup?

 JR:  Yes.  

 TR:  We don’t even know where they are.

 JR:  Other than Danny rented a car at the airport in Seattle yesterday morning.

 TR:  How do we know that, exactly?  And why didn’t you tell me?

 JR:  You didn’t ask.  And Jerry is tracing Danny’s credit card.

 TR:  This is nuts.

 JR:  I’m gonna go to Seattle.  I’ll call Danny when I get there.  If I’m already there, he won’t tell me to stay home.

 LG:  No, but I’ll tell you, right now.  Stay where you are.

 JR:  This group text thing may have been a mistake.

 TR:  You think?

 LG:  Just listen for a minute. I heard from Kono.  No need for backup.

 TR:  Are you going to tell us more or what?  

 KK:  Guys, Steve is ok, and so is Danny.  You can relax.

 LG:  Kono, these kids are going to bite my head off if you don’t give them some details.

 KK:  First off we’re sorry we didn’t get in touch sooner – Danny wanted me to call Lou last night as soon as Steve was out of danger, but then things got a little hairy.

 QL:  But now?

 KK:  It’s all good.

 LG:  Maybe you should start from the beginning?

 KK:  Too long to text the whole thing, but you know Steve was helping me on an op.  One of the people financing a sex trafficking ring was rumored to be in the area, and we set him up.  During the take down Steve got hurt, but he’s going to be okay.

 TR:  What happened?

 KK:  He kind of jumped through a plate glass window and out of a building to get away from a bomb.  But we caught the bad guy, so he’s pretty pleased with himself.

 TR:  I see why Danny is particularly annoyed when I do that kind of thing.

 KK:  Steve got pretty banged up, and some glass got in his eye, but the doctors say he’s doing well now.  Had to have surgery last night, though, there was some internal bleeding they didn’t catch right away.

 JR:  Why isn’t Steve texting us, or Danny?

 KK:  They’re both asleep.  It was kind of a tough night for both of them.

 TR:  Awww.  Danny looks so small.  Look at him tucked in there between Steve’s side and the bed railing, all snuggled up against Steve.  

 KK:  Doesn’t he look tiny?  I know people always say patients in hospital beds look small, but with Danny slotted in there right next to him, Steve looks normal sized.

 LG:  Actually he looks like he crashed through a plate glass window, but I suppose that’s normal for him.

 QL:  Steve’s holding on to Danny even in his sleep.  I’m dying here.

 JR:  Is it ok to ask if Steve’s gonna lose his eye?  That bandage looks serious.

 KK:  So far the doc says it should heal, with minimal vision loss. But it’s too soon to tell for sure. He might need another surgery.

 TR:  I’m saving this picture forever.  I can’t believe the hospital staff let Danny climb into bed with Steve.

 KK:  By the time this happened Danny really didn’t care what anyone else had to say on the subject.  

 TR:  I can imagine.

 KK:  You guys could have given me a heads’ up, you know.  Would have saved some drama yesterday.

 LG:  What do you mean?

 KK:  Danny barreled in here looking for Steve, calling himself his partner, and then there was a bit of a scuffle about what partner meant.  

 TR:  Well, they’re not exactly partner-partners.  Just work partners.

 KK:  You sure?

 TR:  They’re pretty touchy-feely, but they certainly don’t share a bed.

 JR:  Usually.  Unless I’m in the guest room when Danny’s over.

 TR:  Excuse me?

 JR:  The couch is bad for Danny’s back, and Steve refused to let me give up my room for Danny.  So they both sleep in Steve’s room.

 TR:  Were you ever going to mention this?  Or is this one of those respect for your superior officer things?

 JR:  I plead the fifth.

 KK:  Well the cat’s out of the bag now.

 JR:  I don’t think we should assume they’re together, not until they tell us.

 KK:  Okay, but after seeing the big ol’ kiss Danny planted on Steve in front of the entire ICU, I’m feeling fairly confident this isn’t platonic anymore.

 KK:  Steve’s reaction was priceless, too.  He grinned like you wouldn’t believe, brighter than the Hawaii sun, and then pulled Danny down to kiss him back.  

 LG:  Hot damn.
